Katy Bohinc is a poet and longstanding contributor in the
Chinese activist community. She and Meg Ronan edited COYDUP, a poetry
pamphlet created for hand-to-hand distribution at and around Occupy
events. A selection of “Dear Alain” (Love letters of a poet to a
philosopher) is forthcoming from Summer BF Press in early 2014. She has a
background in math, comp litt, DC, China, France & Buenos Aries. She
lives in Manhattan (& pictured here in Tibet).
Buck Downs emcees the In Your Ear reading series in DC and
serves as poetry editor of Boog City. His latest books are New Personal Problem
and You Can't Get Enough of What You Really Don't Need.
Justin Marks’ second book, You’re Going to Miss
Me When You’re Bored, is forthcoming from Barrelhouse Books in Spring 2014.
His first book is A Million in Prizes (New Issues, 2009), and his latest
chapbooks are We Used to Have Parties (Dikembe Press, forthcoming) and Best
Practices (Greying Ghost, 2013). Recent work has appeared in Denver
Quarterly, Matter, Leveler Interrupture and similar::peaks.
He is a co-founder of Birds, LLC, an independent poetry press, and lives in
Queens, NY with his wife and their twin son and daughter.
Reading starts at 7PM.
